Typically wedding bands are made out of yellow gold but nowadays you can find them made in other metals such as platinum or rose gold instead depending on your tastes. Other popular styles include eternity rings as well – diamonds inlaid around the entire band.
This is of personal preference, however, because your wedding ring traditionally sits closer to your heart than your engagement ring will, it’s a good idea to take it off that finger temporarily. May couples switch the engagement ring to the same finger on the right hand or leave them in a safe place at home. If you’re going to be taking close-up photos of your hands, you might want to remove your engagement ring a day or so before the wedding so you don’t have any ring marks on your finger for the photos.
